We Perform a Comprehensive Eye Exam
A traditional, comprehensive eye exam involves a number of different tests, actually quite a few more than the traditional vision screening. The vision screening assesses your vision. During your exam, we evaluate your risk factors for eye diseases and other indicators of general health issues. You should be aware that a comprehensive eye exam includes a number of tests that evaluates the health of your eyes and your vision.
What Should You Expect During Your Eye Exam?

- Health background and history
- Visual Acuity
- Refraction
- Retinoscopy
- Autorefractors
- Eye Focus and Teaming Test
- Slit Lamp Test
- Tonometry
- Pupil dilation (if necessary)

What Insurances Do We Accept for Your Exam?
At Duncan Eye We Accept MEDICAL insurances including Medicare (Because we offer state of the art eyecare most Vision Plans are not sufficient). We DO NOT accept Tenncare or Medicaid.
NEW patients should expect to spend 1 ½ hours at their appointment depending on their individual eye health issue.
