Duncan Eye – Our Doctors

Kristen T. Duncan, MD

Dr. Duncan was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she graduated from Captain Shreve High School. She first moved to Memphis to attend Rhodes College, where she graduated cum laude in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. She returned to her hometown to attend LSUHSC- Shreveport School of Medicine and obtained her MD in 2002.

Dr. Duncan moved back to Memphis for postgraduate training, completing her internship at Methodist University Hospital in 2003 and residency at the University of Tennessee-Memphis Department of Ophthalmology/Hamilton Eye Institute in 2006. Since then she has worked in private practice as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in Memphis, obtaining board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2008. She opened Duncan Eye, PLLC in December 2010.

Emily T. Graves, MD, FACS

Dr. Graves received her Bachelor’s of Science in Management and Finance from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 2001, graduating summa cum laude. She then went on to obtain a Doctorate of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A native Memphian, Dr. Graves returned to Memphis to complete her medical training. She completed her internship at Methodist University Hospital and her residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Ophthalmology at the Hamilton Eye Institute. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Cataract and Refractive Surgery in Nashville, Tennessee, where she received extensive training in bladeless LASIK, PRK, and premium cataract surgery.

Dr. Graves is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
